Wargame: European Escalation gets new release date, screens

Focus has sent word that Eugen Systems’ Wargame: European Escalation has been delayed. The upcoming real-time strategy title will now be shipping out for the PC in the first quarter of 2012. The R.U.S.E. and Act of War developer will be using the additional time to give the game a bit more polish.

Drox Operative – first batch of screenshots released

Soldak, developers of Depths of Pearl and Din’s Curse, has released some new shots from their upcoming title, Drox Operative. The space-based role-playing game will feature evolving galaxies, co-op multiplayer, and a massive galaxy-wide war. Players assume the role of a Drox Operative, a gun for hire who only wants for two things: more weapons and more credits.

Rayman Origins – new screens, details revealed

Michel Ancel, the creator of Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, and Raving Rabbids, will be returning to the Rayman series next month with Rayman Origins. As the November 15 release date approaches, Ubisoft has sent along some new shots showing off the 2D side-scrolling action and four-player co-op, as well as a Q&A with game director Sebastien Morin. The Q&A reveals that the game will be comprised of five universes and 10 different worlds, as well as an extra world (Land of the Livid Dead) that will be “a bit hard to reach but is a whole new universe.” Each world will unlock an ability to continue onto the next, though any planet can be revisited as many times as the player wishes.

Renegade Ops now available for PC

Sega has just released the PC version of Avalanche Studio’s fantastic action title Renegade Ops. Players control one of four mercenaries, each with their own special abilities and vehicles, as they zip around exotic locales in their war against the nefarious Inferno. The download-only release also features local two-player split-screen and online four-player co-op.

Forza 4’s next DLC car pack is just around the corner. Set to launch on Live Marketplace on November 1, the November Speed Pack will include 10 cars for 560 MS Points. A few of the rides include the 2012 Aston Martin Virage, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, and 2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls launching on App Store next week

The Wizardry role-playing series, once a staple of PC gaming, has found itself in the limelight again. Thanks to the PlayStation Network and the efforts of XSeed and a handful of Japanese developers, whose fondness of first-person dungeon crawling is unendingly endearing, the series’ once-dormant status in North America has changed. And it looks as if the upswing isn’t over yet. Japanese developer Acquire Corp. has announced that they will be bringing their PSN release Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls to the iPhone and iPod touch next week. The free-to-download release will hit on November 3 and allow players to enjoy the game up to level five and the first floor of the Dungeon of Trials, with the full version unlocked for $9.99.

Pinball FX2’s latest DLC table, Paranormal, now available for free

Zen Studio’s thank-you gift to Pinball FX2 players, Paranormal, which also happens to be the latest DLC table, is now available for download. Pinball FX2 has to be downloaded first, but it’s a free release, so gamers wanting some pinball action can grab the base game, which serves as a platform for future tables, and Paranormal for absolutely nothing. The table is free from now through November 2.
