Creative Assembly is gearing up for Shogun 2’s second round of DLC with an entirely new campaign, Rise of the Samurai. The first DLC pack was released back in May, introducing the Ikko Ikki, marking this as the first downloadable campaign to be released.
Due out this September, Rise of the Samurai takes place 400 years before the events in Shogun 2 and is based on the conflict between the six clans of the Taira, Minamoto, and Fujiwara families that led to the first Shogun, the Gempei War. The pack will add a campaign, playable in both single and multiplayer modes, six clans, unique traits, 16 lands units, 10 naval units, four hero units, four agent types, and 10 new mons and retainers for Avatars.
