Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions launched on PSN last month for the PSP, and now the fan-favorite strategy-RPG is available on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch. The 2007 PSP re-release of the 1997 original, Final Fantasy Tactics, includes new cut scenes, jobs, and scenarios. The iOS version also features “new and improved visuals exclusive to the iPhone/iPod touch,” improved load times, as well as “intuitive touch-panel controls” with the ability to rotate and change map size by sliding and pinching.
The iPad version will be available later this month.

The first is a man named Delita Heiral, the hero who would draw back the curtain on the War of the Lions, this dark act of Ivalice’s history. The other, whose role is now forgotten, is a man by the name of Ramza Beoulve. Peer through the eyes of these two young men, and uncover the secrets that lie hidden within history’s darkened folds.
