House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut details, screens released

House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut (PS3) Features Announcement - Header

Come October 25, Agent G, Detective Washington, and Varla Guns will be blowing away zombies with reckless abandon (again). House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut isn’t just Overkill with Move and Sharp Shooter support, though, but a revamped rerelease sporting a number of additions. To get everyone up to speed, Sega has announced just some of the many PS3-exclusive features.

Most noticeable will be the facelift to update the visuals for the PS3, with high-definition graphics and stereoscopic 3D support. In addition to the extra gloss, there will also be several additions across all areas—modes, weapons, and more. There will be two new levels, a new crossbow weapon, a new baby mutant type, the headshot-only Hardcore Mode, the AMS Magnum-only Classic Mode, new motion-capture cutscenes, and an exclusive Missing Reel extended final boss fight. Plus, online leaderboards, unlockable bonus materials (music, comic pages, 2D artwork, etc.), and “improved” boss fights for all levels.
