Amidst all of the excitement of E3 comes news that Sucker Punch’s Infamous 2, sequel to one of the best games of 2009, is now available on store shelves. The follow-up sees powered-up everyman Cole MacGrath returning with new abilities and an evolved Karma system as he makes his way through New Marais with pal Zeke. The two must face a dangerous new enemy known as the Beast. The journey to the Beast won’t be easy as players must choose to go with their good side, embodied by Agent Lucy Kuo and ice powers, or their bad side, represented by Nix and fire-centric powers; each side offers a different experience and, depending on which paths are taken, one of several endings.
Gamers can also create their own content with a new mission designer. The toolset allows players to design and share their own levels, utilizing the same characters, weapons, and items that are found throughout the regular game. Missions can be ranked, and the cream of the crop will find themselves on the Sucker Punch Featured Missions List. Move support is also scheduled to be integrated into the mission designer this fall.
Lastly, a Hero Edition is also available alongside the standard release. The Hero Edition includes collectible extras (8.5″ Cole MacGrath statue, soundtrack, mini comic book, and more), vouchers for exclusive in-game items, and (along with the regular edition) early access to the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta.
