Sony has announced that the PS3 will be receiving a new PSP Remaster series of titles, which will be “PSP titles customized and developed specifically for the PS3 computer entertainment system.” The series will kick off in Japan with Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. A hit in Japan, with over 4.5 million copies sold since December, the PS3 version will benefit from a host of improvements that will span across all of the Remaster titles: enhanced graphics for larger displays, SixAxis and DualShock 3 support, and cross-platform save game support. Some titles will also include additional add-on content, stereoscopic 3D support, and ad-hoc mode support via “adhoc party for PlayStation Portable.”

Did I hear someone say Gradius Collection? Anyone? Please?
