The ‘hawk series will continue in 2012 with a hard-edged spin-off, Starhawk. Currently in development at LightBox Interactive, in collaboration with Sony Santa Monica Studio, Starhawk will continue the third-person shooter action while expanding on the out-of-the-cockpit elements introduced in the 2007’s Warhawk as well as add a bit of real-time strategy to the mix. Players will take on the role of Emmett Graves, a gunslinger whose exposure to the powerful Rift Energy on the Frontier planets has left him partly mutated.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron recently found a warm welcome in Japan, earning a Gold Award in Famitsu magazine as well inspiring diners to serve El Shaddi-themed dishes, and is building quite a name for itself stateside. To get gamers ready for its release later this summer, UTV Ignition Games has sent along some new shots showing Enoch making (and fighting) his way up the tower of Babel. Inspired by the Old Testament’s Book of Enoch, the surreal action-adventure title was developed by a team lead by industry notables Sawaki Takeyasu (Devil May Cry) and Masato Kimura (Okami, Viewtiful Joe).
With its release date closing in, EA has sent some new shots of Grasshopper Manufacture’s upcoming third-person shooter Shadows of the Damned. On June 21, 360 and PS3 gamers will get to take on the role of demon hunter Garcia Hotspur as he fights his way through Hell to save his love, Paula.
