There’s no doubt that Elemental: War of Magic had a rough start, but judging by the change log of today’s patch, Stardock’s been busy hammering out the (many) kinks. The 1.2 update not only includes a plethora of bug fixes but also interface, mechanic, and AI tweaks—as well as a few new maps for good measure.
Rockstar Games has teamed up with Little, Brown and Company imprint Mulholland Books for L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories. The download-only release, set to launch on June 6 on major eBook retailers, will feature stories from Megan Abbott, Lawrence Block, Joe Lansdale, Joyce Carol Oates, Francine Prose, and more. The stories will introduce readers to characters featured in L.A. Noire, allowing them to “explore the lives of actresses desperate for the Hollywood spotlight; heroes turned defeated men; and classic Noir villains.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops – Escalation, follow-up to the First Strike DLC map pack, is now available for download on Live Marketplace. Escalation includes four new multiplayer maps and new Zombie mode content which features George Romero and other horror stars in some Hollywood-style undead action. Escalation is going for 1200 MS Points, and is also the cause of a new Grudge Match today between Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets and Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings against Treyarch members and Black Ops players.
Bethesda has detailed the next three DLC releases for Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas. Role-players looking to jump back into the wastelands should be on the lookout this summer for Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road. All three packs will be 800 MS Points/$9.99 and released simultaneously for the 360, PC, and PS3.
