Rockstar has released some new details and screenshots for their upcoming third-person shooter Max Payne 3. Set eight years after the second, Max is no longer a cop but an alcoholic pill addict working in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s private security sector. The story revolves around Max’s fall from being a New York detective to hired guard for the family of wealthy real estate magnate Rodrigo Branco.
In addition to the return of bullet-time, Max Payne 3 will include partners and sidekicks, a new cover system, destructible environments, bullet-cams, and Natural Motion’s Euphoria character behavior system for more realistic shoot-dodge moves. No release date has been announced, but it is slated to hit the 360, PC, and PS3.
