Capcom is preparing for the launch of the Nintendo eShop with a new release in the Mega Man Legends series. In addition to being a launch title for the service, Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version is being labeled as “the first Capcom game to be co-developed by the fans.”
The open-world action-adventure release will still be in development when it launches, allowing gamers to try out a new close combat mechanic as well as meet a new character, Barrett. Completion of the core missions will unlock unfinished areas and a debug menu that will allow access to special moves and abilities. For those wanting to give their input, Capcom has launched a Development Room page on their site that will detail the development process as well as offer ways to interact with the development team. Any players who have their ideas used in the game will also have their name in the credits.
