Splatterhouse all-in-one survival arena DLC pack released, includes preorder exclusives

Fans of Splatterhouse’s monster-bashing survival mode, take note: all four additional survival arenas are now available as one download for 400 MS Points / $4.99. The additional areas include Heart of the Mansion, House of Mirrors, Killing Room, and Lost Islands. Until this pack, Heart of the Mansion and House of Mirrors were only available for those who had preordered the title.

Christopher Tin wins Grammy for Civ IV track, Baba Yetu

We mentioned back in December that Christopher Tin was going to be the first composer to receive a Grammy nomination for a track originally composed for a game for his Civilization IV piece, “Baba Yetu.” Not only did the song help Tin take home a Grammy for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists,” but his album in which it was featured, “Calling all Dawns,” received the Grammy for “Best Classical Crossover Album.”

A Game of Thrones – Genesis info, screenshots released

George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones will be hitting the PC later this year with Cyanide Studio’s upcoming real-time strategy title, A Game of Thrones – Genesis. Fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga will be happy to hear that the single-player campaign was written under the supervision of Martin, and that all of the intrigue between the Houses of the Kingdom of Westeros and turning points in the kingdom’s history (Aegon the Conqueror’s invasion) will be included.

Crysis 2 PC multiplayer demo announced, coming soon

It’s been a while since we’ve given aliens a good what for, what with zombies being the hot villain now and all. Well, all of that is about to change on March 22 when Crysis 2 hits shelves, and a little sooner for multiplayers when the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo goes online at Crysis.EA.com on March 1. The demo includes “two stunning maps, two adrenaline-filled modes and hours of multiplayer action.” Players will get to try out the Nanosuit as they engage in some six-on-six action across Manhattan in the maps Skyline and Pier 17 and in two modes, Team Instant Action and the capture the flag-like Crash Site.

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga gets bonus items, lower price

Divinity II (review) was a decent game marred by some serious technical problems, but its upcoming re-release, Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, is supposed to set things right with a revamped engine and an epilogue to properly wrap up the story. With its April 12 release date still a ways away, Atlus has wasted no time in getting role-playing fans ready for another trip to the tower with news of some free goodies.
