Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut now available on Steam

Revolution Software’s Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut is now available on Steam for the PC and Mac, and will be hitting store shelves shortly by way of Mastertronic.

The $9.99 re-release features a new integrated story arc, context-sensitive help system, enhanced graphics and audio, as well as new facial animations drawn by Dave Gibbons (co-creator of Watchmen), mini-games, puzzles, and plot perspective.

The Director’s Cut begins with Nico Collard’s investigation into the murder of an eminent Parisian statesman, and continues at a breakneck pace, as events collide in a race against time which sees the fate of the world rest in the hands of our two heroes.

The original Broken Sword, released in 1996, introduced George Stobbard, Nico Collard and the conspiracy of the Knights Templar. Redefining intelligent gaming narrative, with a stunning globetrotting narrative that weaves the fantastic with historical legend, this adventure game tour de force won countless awards, topping many “best adventure game” lists.
