Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja: Storm 2 release date announced, demo on Live Markplace, PS Network

Namco Bandai has released a playable demo of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja: Storm 2 on Live Marketplace and PS Network. Set to ship on October 19 for the 360 and PS3, Storm 2 introduces new environments, a new storyline, and online versus play. There will also be an enhanced Support Character system that will allow players to call on allies to perform Team Special Techniques.

Encompassing the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN story arc, the game has a deep three-part story mode that have players living different ninja lives through the eyes of Naruto, Sasuke and Jiraiya. With more than 40 characters to choose from, engaging in bigger and more epic cinematic boss battles has never been this intense. As an added bonus, Lars Alexandersson, of TEKKEN 6 fame, will appear as an unlockable guest character. Available in the game’s versus mode, Lars brings his explosive signature moves and will appear in his TEKKEN 6 costume designed by NARUTO creator Masashi Kishimoto.
