As Mafia II’s August 24 360, PC, and PS3 release draws closer, 2K Games is heading up a community and social event blitzkrieg with the newly launched Hit List application on Facebook, so players can put out hits on friends and foes alike; a play list Mix Tape on Pandora that includes some of the 120 songs from the ’40s and ’50s that are featured in the game; and three red-carpet community launch events in Chicago, Miami, and New York City.
The launch events, hosted by Gamertag Radio and SFX-360 and sponsored by 2K, Sony Computer Entertainment America, NVIDIA and Playboy, will feature giveaways and demo units to try the game with 3D Vision Surround. For additional details, check out www.gamertagradio.com or www.sfx-360.com.
