Guitar Hero and Band Hero’s August track release list announced


The Guitar Hero library will be receiving 15 new songs this month. Compatible with Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero, the tracks are also forward compatible with the upcoming Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

The Used kicks things off with their new three-title track pack hitting the download circuit tomorrow. The pack will include “The Taste Of Ink,” “The Bird And The Worm,” and “Pretty Handsome Awkward.” The second pack out , from Sum 41, will be released on August 10. The Sum 41 Track Pack will contain “Fat Lip,” “In Too Deep,” and “Still Waiting.”

Rounding out the second half of the month is the Weezer Track Pack on August 17, which will include “Beverly Hills,” “Pork And Beans,” and “Island In The Sun.” On August 24th, Megadeth will see their tracks “Symphony of Destruction,” “Hangar 18,” and “Peace Sells” added to the library. Finishing off the month is P.O.D., whose tracks “Southtown,” “Youth Of The Nation,” and “Boom” will launch August 31.

Each track pack will be available for 440 MS Points on Live Marketplace, $5.49 on the PS Store, and 550 Wii Points computer entertainment system for $5.49 and 550 Wii Points on the Wii Shop Channel.  All songs also be released as downloadable singles for 160 MS Points, $1.99, and Wii Points each.
